Since 2016 I have partly resigned my work as a metal artist because of a work-related accident where I got stuck between 400kg of metal plates in the back of my van. As a result of this accident, I ended up with a stable vertebral fracture. After a period of recovery, I could no longer perform my work as a full-time metal artist due to persistent physical discomfort in my spine.
However!! I am still active as a metal artist but limited. At the bottom of this page you will find a link to my previous website but first some more information about my current activities as a metal artist; Steampunk Art On Tour!!

Steampunk Art On Tour gives visitors a glimpse behind the scenes of a professional metal artist. Thanks to my Hypertherm handheld plasma cutters, I'm able to set up my mobile workshop at almost any location.

Especially for these demonstrations I create my artworks on a metal easel. This way, the spectators can watch how the artwork takes shape at a safe distance. This distance is crucial considering how many sparks are produced when cutting the metal.The hard and cold metal is absolutely no match for my Plasmacutters.

Almost futuristic dressed in leather protective clothing and with characteristic appearance I spectacularly transform a metal plate into a unique work of art. The entourage of my demonstrations is reminiscent of a traditional blacksmith, but in the modern 21st century. A common response from spectators is "Wauw!! I've never seen anything like this before."

Several previous works of art are exhibited on multiple robust metal easels and can be purchased by visitors at a reduced price. The artwork made on site is donated to the organization, agency or company that books the demonstration and can be auctioned or raffled as desired.
